WILLIAMSBURG COMMONS
Sequestered behind wrought iron gates, Williamsburg Commons is a settlement of thirty-eight authentic reproduction homes. New Century Homes is building the final home in this wonderful Vienna, Virginia Community.
The community is maintained in a park-like condition. With ten-foot azaleas, mature specimen trees and shrubbery, Williamsburg Commons appears lifted from the pages of history. Every detail has been considered. The most obvious indicators of modern times, automobiles, are kept behind-the-scenes by a perimeter one-way road design, landscape and architectural elements and carriage house parking. The exposed aggregate road recalls the cobblestone and gravel roads of bygone eras.
The exteriors of the homes are reproduced with special emphasis on quality materials such as hand thrown brick and beaded cypress ceilings. The homes include such ornamental features as an attached smokehouse to be used as a pantry and carriage house for a garage. Unlike the typical subdivision, each home has its own unique character with small formal garden, brick walkways and decorative colonial fencing.
As with the exteriors, interiors are constructed with one thought in mind: the quality of colonial craftsmanship. Interior spaces are adapted to fit today’s lifestyles without losing the charm of the original Williamsburg homes. Tall individually paned windows are used to provide abundant light. Every room enjoys custom moldings and other woodwork and is often embellished by built-ins. Charming fireplaces provide a focal point in many rooms. The kitchens have top of the line appliances and exclusively designed cabinetry.
